I am sick like a sick thing. I've been going through this for the last three weeks. I would start to get better with OTC meds and then it would get worse again. I have begun to suspect that it is due to an infection of some sort or something not just fibro (it's hard to tell because being sick also kicks my fibro up a notch), so I finally broke down and made a doctor's appointment because I can't keep living like this.
Since I have no insurance, my *ideal* doctor's appointment would be: you have a minor infection, here is a script for cheap or free antibotics.
Because! If it is:
You just have fibro/a cold/allergies/nebulous stinky cat syndrom - *rage!* because I had to pay a lot to hear that.
You need some kind of procedure - *rage!* because I don't have money for that.
I was *going* to go to the MinuteClinic but my mom acted like I was going there for a back alley abortion (and it's far away anyway), all, WHAT! ARE THEY EVEN DOCTORS! WHAT DO THEY KNOW ABOUT FIBRO! So I was like, oooooohkay, I'll go to my usual doctor.
