* While I slept like shit last night and had been sleeping like shit in general, Wednesday night I slept awesome! I felt like a new woman.
* Florida was good to get away if not the most financially sound decision. It was nice drinking rum runners and floating around in the lazy river reading trashy books.
* Harry Potter world in Universal was awesome! I think I liked it especially much because it was totally uncrowded, we got on all the rides in >20 minutes including the wand shop mini show. I loved how they did Hogswart, I loved the shops in Hogsmead, the rides were pretty awesome esp the Hogswart ride, butterbeer was delish, eating at the 3 broomsticks was fun, and the "students" doing little songs and parades were fun to watch.
* Finished the last of my BFL roving and am onto the Icelandic roving. I just dyed my first batch, it dyes really well and takes dye even better than BFL but it will spin more coarsely and doesn't form sort of a roving spool, more like clumps. But it will be good to spin.
* After Sunday when my sister gets married, I will have some semblence of having my life back after I take a little time to collapse from exhaustion.
* October is looking good - Crucible con, taco/garage day with L., visit from F.,
kinkyjesus's party, a mini break trip to Rhode Island with Jow, all the fall things I love - pumpkin everything, stews, crisp weather, mmmmmm.
* I had loved the Ava dress in the picture but in person it looks like a bridesmaid dress in all the wrong sort of ways - awkwardly cut, weird green color, weird length, not v. much cleavage. Boo! Luckily, I had also ordered the Madison and the picture doesn't do it justice. For one, somehow it manages to be more cleavage-tastic than the Ava, pre-corseting and it's v. Joantastic, all, BAM! Boobs and ass! Without being over the top. Like this!
* I am grateful to Christina Hendricks for bringing around a renaissance where being a curvy red head is considered hot. It's really helped in my quest to love myself as is.
