* This week is jammed packed as it's been for a while for me. This week though I have two panels in Philly, which will make me a little richer. But commuting twice to Philly after work is sort of ugh. But work is slowing down, thankfully. So hopefully next week I'll be able to regain my balance some.
* Work is starting to destress - we finished the website update, we got the new business cards ordered, we got the goody bag give away. For the big external meetings, I got my suiting situated (and when my boss started making Bloomingdales noises, I firmly said I would not be wearing it all that often, so getting a good sale at NY&Co made much more sense), I have a hair appointment for next week, necklace is bought, new makeup in hand, and now all I need is shoes which I will get from Macy's since Mothra gave me a small gc for Easter.
* I got a really great deal on 3 pounds of roving (BFL, of course) at like $1.14 an ounce, which is good because L. just bought all of my yarn out from under me, along with three Goddess Dollies. ;) A little more money made there. This new batch of roving will make 12 skeins of yarn and I will have it in time for the dying party on Sat.
* It's going to take me a bit longer than anticipated to start up my sister store since I just sold a bunch of the stock out from under myself, but this is not a bad thing.
* My mom knows how to hem pants, so I'm going to bug her about doing a few of the new pairs I just got. I was thinking to attempt to hem the sleeves of the suit jacket I'll be getting shortly myself. We'll see.
* Friday night was good, J^1 and J^2 with April and my sister, just hanging at the house.
* I signed up for the gym with James. I'm not going to even attempt to start that this week. I will be starting over the weekend (which besides the dying party is blessedly uneventful), and next week I should be able to get to the gym, and get back to my regularly scheduled writing, crafting, work schedule, and housewifery.
* New clothes for my new look include: Kardashian like tunics (I decided to use Khloe Kardashian as my template as body wise we are vaguely in the same category), rock star black shiny leggings (which I have not yet been brave enough to wear out, but soon), wide faux snakeskin belt for the tunics, new black faux snakeskin purse, snakeskin print short sleeve top, shirt dress, skinny jeans, new bras, keyhole ruffle top, and some new necklaces. All of this has been bought on the cheap, obvs. And naturally it goes without saying that only (1) snakeskin item will be worn at a time. Going cheaper on the suiting allowed me to have money left to buy some clothes for daily wear which was good. I think I want some kind of fake snakeskin sandals.
* I'm debating going to the fairy festival this year. I really love going, but I do need to get to Kansas and there's other wedding related expenses. JohnM and I are still discussing.
* Saturday I had dinner with Bryan, Heather, Jenn, Doug, and Jow at Skylark. I had a really nice time, it was good to go out to dinner with a small group of people. There was discussion about going to an "older" goth club over the summer, in Jersey, by the tunnel. Also potentially checking out Asbury Park over the summer. Skylark is a good quasi middle ground for us and they take reservations which is good.
