May. 10th, 2010 10:26 amYou were right and I was wrong. ::insert 100 lines of penance::
I need to stop being obstinant and insisting on the short story genre, more over I need to stop being a pussy about writing a full novel. It is indeed much harder to land a space in someone's thematic anthology regularly as I am now learning the hard way. If I want smaller more regular bursts of money, I can do "mill writing". At the very least, I need to stop being so reliant on anthologies and work on longer short stories that various publishers will accept as e-book stand alones and then move onto writing full novels.
::grumble:: Stupid Monday rejection letters! I was asked to be part of the publisher's e-anthology, but that typically is not v. well paying. I have a new home in mind for Bite and just submitted it there.
I'm going to stop trolling for anthologies after I stop dragging my heels and finish my steampunk short story.
