* I like the word "croquette". I want to have everything as a "croquette".

* I'm going to be dying more roving soon. Current choices:

scarlet red with gold glitz
light violet with grey
brown with light pink
celery green with the tussah silk

* Yesterday was an excerise in futility. Not only did I not make the focus group on time by a lot (even leaving a half hour early), but I got to spend my evening in five hours worth of traffic. Luckily, I did not stab anyone in the face.

* Had a really good conversation with [livejournal.com profile] revvoice about steampunk. Snipits of what I said, I completely agree with you [about how a clockwork person would likely work] and if I'm being completely honest, it's my biggest stumbling block with a clock work boy or girl. It's just very inheritantly foreign to my writing though I enjoy reading and watching others explore it. I'm . . .unsure at best how to translate it to erotica, while it's not my kink necessarily, though I'd be interested to see it play out through a reader's perspective. I'm way more over on the girls shooting guns! Corsets! Airships! Adventure! Side of the table. I'll be curious to see how well the editor balances it (if s/he chooses to balance it). One of my bfs also noted that steampunk = technology good, and cyberpunk = technology bad, which is interesting too. I think a lot will come down to how well versed the editor is in steampunk. All the ramifications from all sides of the table. To be completely honest, I would love it if this anthology covered a lot of these differing aspects - what it means to not be human, what it means to be human, where does technology fit in, where does love fit in, what it means to have a positive technological culture, etc, etc, etc. All with sexxors. And I think it could be done. I think that's why I'd be sad if the anthology was all about clock work dildos, steampunk is so much more than that. So I feel re-energized about it at least, I'm going to write my story. Jow tells me shit always goes wrong when I try to pander to an audience 'cause I get all pissed off about it, whereas if I write the story from my heart it comes out much better. I'm going to start working on that after work.

* I'm looking forward to cooking, spinning, straightening, and writing over the weekend as well as my social plans. It's going to be pretty low key which is good, I need it.

* My new suit jacket came in and wonder of wonders, it fit. Which is good because yesterday I prolly would have torn it apart with my teeth if it didn't which doesn't make for good returns.

* Jow and I are totally into TRANSform me. If you want to know how magic in my brain works, just watch an episode because my goddess if changing your entire gender idenity and then teaching people to be comfortable in theirs (and upgrading clothes/makeup/hair in a way that's comfortable to the person in question to add glamour to the transformation) isn't one of the biggest rabbits out of a hat, I don't know what is. It's very positive and the glamazons are so freaking hot.
